Cystic fibrosis is a hereditary disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. This disease can be life-threatening, and people with the condition tend to have a shorter-than-normal life span. There are currently approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. These parents, siblings, friends, and co-workers battle every day to do something most take for granted; breathe.

In an effort to help find a cure for this disease, Contact Lens King has joined The Great Strides Cystic Fibrosis Foundation walk for the second year. According to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation website, Great Strides is the foundation\'s largest national fundraiser. It is committed to helping raise awareness and fund research towards a cure for CF by fundraising for Great Strides.

Contact Lens King started participating in the Great Strides event in 2019, helping the local fundraiser surpass its original goal, and it hopes to help repeat this accomplishment. According to Bucky LaFountain, Contact Lens King\'s Marketing Manager, "It is inspiring to see people come together for a common cause, committed to finding a cure for this disease. We hope that our contribution to this event can help Great Strides make an impact in the battle to conquer this disease."
